1936 Winter Olympic Medallion. Opinions please.

    Hi All,
Don't know which section to put this in, so apologies if this is incorrect.
Is this 1936 Winter Olympic Games Medallion genuine? I have found identical Medallions on the internet, but thought I would ask any way because I want to be 100% sure before I sell it on the Forum. This particular item is in good condition and has the ribbon which is approx. 74cms long in total. The Medallion measures 8cm in diameter and weighs 170gms.
    Any advice would be appreciated,
    Thanks in advance,
    Terry

    Hi Terry,

it is a postwar marching medal, made in the 70s/80s.
There is a plate missing, where you can identify the year, the purpose and the location, for example:

    1977
    6. Int.-Wandertag
    Frickenhausen

I hope, that you can see the picture and the price:

You can find these medals in the grade Bronze and Silber.

Several sellers/dealers remove the plate or the plate and the complete ribbon, to achieve a better price.
I don't say, that you did it!

    Uwe
