      blue piping in my experience is by far the commonest, so that and the sad condition alone are reasons to save your money and hope for better. quite a few nice ones are available for reasonable money. other colored pipings prolly get you into 'scary' territory, as br. james, wim and others will warm you...

          There's no question that PL caps with blue piping are the most prevalent in terms of availability, since they represent the lowest level of uniformed PL presence and therefore the most common. This is also reflected in the prices being asked for the range of PL caps: Piping in gold for Reich or National Level, , red for Gau or Regional Level, white (or the earlier black) for County Level, and lastly blue for Local or Town/Community Level.

            I ended up purchasing it and reselling here on the forum.
