Hi!

Please give me a hand to identify this cap eagle, not my field so don`t have any idea, even if it´s original or not, I put in this forum as I imagine it can be a political one...It has a RZM marking M1/17

This style bird exists in gold & silver in 3 sizes: yours is the smallest version. RZM# M 1/17 is for maker Assmann & Sohne Lüdenscheid. While all variants can be found with RZM numbers (NSDAP marking) these are not party related but rather Gvt/Admin (Beamte) type eagles like Reichpost, Reichbahn, Reichforstbeamt, Zoll beamte etc.

Nice aluminum specimen.

For all. This eagle should be replaced by a larger form in later years (early war), but even then some continued wearing it. Photos do proof this.
The silvered form was in fact in use by drivers and in fact also Kleinbahn, when allowed to wear it.
PS: by the way. There were no officers, but just higher ranked officials!!
