    A H bronze bust

    Hi,

    Please opinion about this one.
    I see any maker mark.
    High is 30 cm.

    Original or reproduction?

    Thanks a lot.

      Hi,

Hard to tell. The nose seems a bit odd, but the model did have a typical shape as well . Also the cheeks seem a bit messy. So do hair and ears.
But maybe the artist wasn’t that gifted. Is that (a shallow residu of) text on the base?

      Grts,
      Morell

        Thanks Morel.
An indication: I don't know if the other bronze head of AH are full & heavy but this one is empty.

I've find similar head for sale on the net & are described as original.

        All opinion welcome!

I vote for reproduction--the seams are poorly finished, the casting is not the worst I've ever seen but much worse than I would expect with an original, flat surfaces of the base are somewhat deformed. I would not want this one in my collection.

A pic of the bottom would end all doubts.
              Is it solid, or hollow??
And it also looks like it’s leaning foreword when sitting.
But all in all an ugly bust

Seems to lack detail, and I believe most had artist initials.
                Just my opinion.
                Regards,
                Gary

                  Bottom is hollow.

Not all Hitler-busts have signatures. But this one seems to be poorly cast with a shallow/unreadable inscription. The overall finish seems very poor. The base is hollow, but that doesn’t prove anything. I wouldn’t buy this one.
