        Not 100% sure, but it might be a Latvian pin pre ww2.

          It certainly could be Latvian, especially since it is red, has relatively thin arms and has a European set up.

          From a statistical standpoint, I would guess there were more good luck pins made worldwide, than Latvian fire cross pins.

          The set up (pin / hinge / catch) is somewhat atypical for a US made pin, so I lean towards European manufacture.

          It is also possible but less probable IMHO that it could be Native American related or pre WWII US 45th Infantry Division related.

          Just my opinions.
