    Set Golden Party Pin

    Hello,

I got another set of Golden Party Pins.
I want to hear your opinion to this both badges.
    Matching set, light worn condition.
The small badge has a old repair backside ..

Maybe the owner of the badges is known?

    Thanks for your help
    Regards

    Hi Robin,

You're quite a lucky collector! This GPB set is original to the period, though I'm sorry to say that NSDAP Membership Number 80070 is not identified on my list.

As you said, the Fuess-marked badge has had it's pin plate remounted at some point, and the jeweler remounted it upside-down, but that certainly does not detract from the piece or from the set.

    Congrats,

    Br. James

These came from Philipp Militaria way back when, must be 10 years.

The "D" from Deschler on the pin plate of the large badge is missing, I believe ? And the 7 on the small is a little out of place. Just some variations that are normal.

              Hi Andreas,

Yes, I noticed those features, too. Actually both of the pin plates are examples of sloppy stamping: The Deschler was die-struck very lightly, with half of the letters almost invisible, and the plate blank on the Fuess-marked piece looks like it was out of line in the stamping machine when it was struck. One might say that these are both examples of why the RZM and its inspectors had the jobs they did, and neither of these pieces was inspected by the RZM!

Of course, these facts also give each piece individuality and a charming character!

              Cheers, my friend,

              Br. James
