Just wanted to put this thing up for discussion.

To me it's a clear fake. Not only the face of it but especially the feathers on the
chest. There should be a separation between the "neck" feathers and the
"body" feathers where there are no feathers. On this eagle the feathers go right
through from the neck to the body. Not to mention they are just cross hatched
and not the typical nice molded feathers. And don't be fooled by the screws on the
back. To me that is only meant to distract from the problems with this thing.
And there are a lot.

Unfortunately, It had to be discussed. I disagree with the folks on warrelics. I know some of them and am taken back that they gave a thumbs up to this piece. It's not even close to an authentic version. It would be worth referencing Wilhelm Saris's book "Third Reich Riechsbahn Eagles" as he dedicates a couple pages discussing the trolley eagles (pages 25-29) and provides some nice illustrations/solid benchmarks. In addition, I've personally handled several different manufacture version trolley eagles over the years.

I'm very sensitive about condemning pieces and unfortunately, this isn't a good one. That's my opinion and I'll let the forum members decide on their own based on their own research/observations.

I have to agree with Berghof that it is not a good piece. The accepted trolley eagles had a distinct design.
