Unusual stamp in early SA kepi

Has anyone ever seen such a stamp in an early SA kepi?

It says „Zeugmeisterei Österreich“ (Quartermaster’s Office Austria) around a SA logo. There’s one more word but not legible. Is this stamp legit?

I'm not familiar with this stamp, but the kepi looks fine to me -- a nice and early one in very good condition.

In such a nice, untouched early kepi like this, IMO it's unlikely someone would feel compelled to modify it with a bogus stamp.
I have an almost identical early kepi with the same interior....but more pink. It's coated with a thin substance to make it like oilcloth. Mine has a later-attached colored band and just one grommet on each side......and a sweatband exactly like yours.
The stamp on your cap looks legit and it's really cool.
No reason to worry if it's legit IMO.

Agree..kepi looks like a nice early example. I too am not familiar with the stamp.

something about the placement/use of this stamp and the reference to „Zeugmeisterei Österreich“ seems out of place. i don't have my reference on the development of the RZM stellen handy.
