      hi

Hello the over all look of the band and of the striping looks nice and well applied.
the material the centre and swas look good .
Here it is a problem for me .The sewing on the centre patch looks a bit shoddy as does the ends of the swasticker. The centre pip is not one I recognise.
Kyles is the man for the bands and ime sure Ron R may have a good original to show for compare. He has just got an amazing collection of gear.
      Regards Pete

These striped armbands were used very early on by the NSDAP PL. I don't know of any original examples however in period photographs the stripes do not appear woven as those on this example and the fabrics used for the armband's construction appear quite different as well. My guess is that someone has used military Tresse to enhance a decent quality reproduction armband.

Seems like the swastikas on this type of band should be outlined....

                Hi Ironfist,

Thank you for this great find. Notice the hole in the center of the swastica where the metal pip use to be. The construction is very similar to mine which to me comfirms that my armband is original.

                Regards, juno44

Not a fan of the original one posted. Looks like an all around repro to me. Also the pip in the middle should be silver, not gold. I do not believe the Ulrich of England examples to be authentic either. Here's an original Ortsgruppenleiter that was posted on the forum years ago.

Ones that you can be sure are original are near impossible to find.

                              Hi Kyle Bullets,

You say that the three PL armbands at Ulrich are repro even the heavily mothed one?

                              Regards, juno44
