It looks more like a casting, rather than a fake stamping.

Doehle's source book Die Auszeichnungnen des grossdeutschen Reichs provides the answer." "Die Berechtugung zum Tragen des Coburger Abzeichens bestätigt die Oberste SA-Führung." Authorization to wear the Coburg badge is confirmed by the Supreme SA leadership. As the first official listing of awardees from the Kanzlei AH was distributed by the OSAF at the time the SA and SS was instructed to question those wearing the badge in early 1935, it appears the supervision and control of the issue of the CB remained under the OSAF for the duration.

Was the Office of the 9th November the same as the Ordenskommission?

Thanks for the clarification Joe and it seems that the only control the RZM had was in their manufacturing possibly?

I'm not sure regarding the office of the 9th of November. I wouldn't be surprised if they acted indepentally

Well if they exerted any control, it didn't show much as there seem to be variations in at least the markings of "RZM" badges. But we know they produced some as the badges were offered to the SA a little over a year later f0r RM 1,65.

Doehle wrote the Ordenskommission was responsible for the Blood Order. And of course, Schwarz's office controlled the GPBs as they controlled the NSDAP Kartei with all records of members.
