    Windjacke?

Curious if this might have been used by SA/NSDAP guys in the early days, or if it's more likely just a private purchase windjacke.
    Thank you!

Thank you, can you tell me what makes this different from a SA jacket?

Early on, the SA members wore whatever they had, so in the early days (20s to very early 30s) you can see in photos numerous patterns of civilian wind jackets. I don't think anyone can say that this couldn't have been worn by an SA member, provided it dates from this period.

Thank you, I just needed a jacket for displaying an early armband, so this will work nicely!

Could be nothing, but there’s a “33” sewn into the neck area, probably too small to be a European size(it’d be a US “23”), but this was found an hour from Dresden, which was Gruppe “33”. Nothing concrete, but interesting, I’ll post pics when I have it in hand if there’s interest.

Jacket came today, I added the early armband, and noticed some evidence of shoulderboards(?). I don't think these were epaulets from the factory, the brown thread is a different color from the rest of the jacket. What do you guys think it means(if anything). Also the number is "53" not "33", maybe SA Brigade 53(Karlsruhe)?
