I was browsing a local shop and seen this, I thought at first glance it was from a rail car but the eagle just don't look right. Any insight? Just says cast iron trophy in the tag.. Thanks

Good morning, and welcome among us! The eagle you present is of the early design of the NSDAP logo, though without the dimensions or a photo of the reverse of this piece, it's hard to positively identify it. Eagles of this design were made as desk ornaments, with a folding arm/stand affixed to the reverse. This piece has obviously been adapted to be mounted to a flat surface such as a door or a wall, as noted by the holes in the wings and the wreath.
It's hard to tell whether this is an original casting from the period or it is a modern duplicate; such pieces are regularly seen as fakes today. Clearer and closer photos of this piece would be helpful in discerning this question.
Again, welcome to WAF -- it's good to have you here!
