    Hitler bust Schmidt-Hofer

    I just got this bust and I wanted to ask for your opinions on the piece.

    Its hight over all is 26cm and it is non-magnetic

          It's a nice original that is missing its bronze finish. Great that the base is still present also.

            I doubt, that it ever had this bronze finish when I look at this silver finish...but I am really no specialist here.

                Since you can examine it in person, you're probably correct---I thought I saw some faint traces of a bronze color in the photos, but it's probably just age affecting the silvered finish. I've seen some busts, especially smaller ones, with a silvered finish so the color may have been an optional choice.

                  Actually looking at it again--is that overspray on one side of the bottom edge of the base? If it is, it may be repainted. Not a big deal on a zinc based bust.

                        nice bust...i like S-H busts ...they have much detail ..especiallly the eyes ..i have one ,somewhat larger ...neck area is not hollow ...2 -bolts holding it to base ..anyone got one like that?..oh, it"s bronze ... EC

                          Hello, For comparison, a picture of my bust, with your only color is gone, the original were "dark green" painted, you can even see color leftovers in yours
