    SA Shirt - Group Mitte

    Hello Friends,

I am looking for the cap to this SA shirt. It is the rank of Obertruppführer from the Mitte Group.

    Thanks,

    Robert

Nice shirt! I have this Standarte located at Geislingen-Steig in SA Group Südwest. Mitte would have gold buttons and black/white piping and rank Tresse.

I used to vet SA pieces for Bill Shea and still do for numerous dealers/collectors. It's definitely Südwest.

I think you need to not believe everything a dealer tells you. Gruppe Mitte did not have a Standarten 127. And then as already pointed, the wrong cokored buttons.

127 did not exist in 1935, it was first listed June 15, 1936 in Gruppe Südwest, located at Geislingen-Steig. This is according to the official address-list from the Oberste SA-Führung. Later in the war its location was Sigmaringen.

With the official color-list from from July 7, 1933 it was noted the top color was orange-yellow, piping to be black-orange and the button to be in silver. This remained.

There was NOT ever a 127 in Mitte. Letter or not!

              Mr Shea is a dealer...
              His goal is to sell...
I was right by his side when he explain to a table holder his SA shirt is a SA Marine shirt... Which was in fact an "Oberrhein" service shirt of SA Standarte 132, located in Strasbourg, my home town...
So as usualy, trust only your onwn knowledge you aquired by yourself...
              Regards
              Pascal.

                  Mr. Saris,
Thank you for the reply. At least this helps narrow down the time period of in which my list is good for.

Thanks for the correction. Südwest is ok with me. Despite the typing error on the letter, I still think it is a nice shirt.

                      Hey guys,

Thanks for the information. I got with Bill and he promptly got it corrected and sent me the correct COA.

                      Thank you for your help!
