From Wikipedia: At the University of Kiel , Bellmann studied law and became with the dissertation published in 1924 the securities rewards business from the point of view of their ineffectiveness: A contribution to the teaching of futures to Dr. Ing. jur. doctorate . He began his legal career as an assistant judge at the Local Court, Land and Higher Regional Court Kiel until October 1, 1938. Immediately thereafter, he was transferred to the Hanover Regional Court , where he served as district court director and chairman of a criminal division. On 1 May 1933 he became a member of the NSDAP . In Kiel and Hanover Bellmann was used as block leader of the NSDAP. At the Sondergericht Hannover Bellmann was formally from April 1940 to December 31, 1943 as chairman of the department. [2]
On July 25, 1946 he was handed over to the authorities in Pilsen. He was then transferred to Prague in Pankrác Prison. At the trial of his work at the Special Court in Prague, he was able to prove his participation in four death sentences by means of available evidence. He was sentenced to life imprisonment in a prison in Pilsen. In 1955 he was transferred to the Federal Republic of Germany as a non-official war criminal (registered under number A-38/62 in Czechoslovakia).
