    von Jöllenbeck

    Hi Guys.

Does anyone know who von Jöllenbeck could be in the third Reich?

When I search in google I only get a German population

    Thanks

I would suggest you post the quote, which contains "von Jöllenbeck". Could well be that it talks about where he/she was from.

This appears in two volumes of the "Reichsgessetzblatt" that I have recently acquired:
      "Boden von Jöllenbeck"

I did not find a noble family named "von Jöllenbeck" but there is a city district of Bielefeld called Jöllenbeck

Boden is not a first name either. It's German for soil. I read the handwriting as:

          Boden
          (von Jöllenbeck)

Boden is very used by the Germans to say "found in"

Thanks Gerdan is the same as I found on the internet.

Possibly it means that these volumes of the Reichsgessetzblatt were found in the archives of the Government of the district or region of Jöllembeck.

"von" designates "from". In names it can usually be attributed to show where the family is from. In this case I think marisca lrommel is correct in the assumption that this indicates where these books are from geographically.

As a native I should be familiar with it, but this is the first time I hear this.

                    I agree.

For me "Boden" means "ground" not found in!

Same here. It could be that 'Boden' was the person's name and von Jöllenbeck the office location.

                        Erich,

The same thought occurred to me - the guy's name was Boden!

If you Google search the name "Boden" there are several around.

In my experience as a collector I have seen the word "Boden" used many times when it comes to saying that it has been found in a specific place. For example in ebay.de (ebay of Germany) many articles described like "bodenfund in an abandoned farm" are seen

                            Boden fund=bottomless fund
it's like saying found buried or hidden in ...

Keep in mind that these copies were used and corrected with annotations and labels that indicated that a specific Law or Rule had been updated by another norm, so it is clear that they were part of a file of the Local Government, a dependency of the Army or another dependency or Secretary of the Government ..
