Early nsdap wall eagle question

Hi,
this is a nazi, early wall eagle (ca 1930). This was found in the area of Szczecin ( Stettin). It is in original condition, unfortunately one wing is missing. It can be still mounted on the wall (it looks ok, despite some disadventages). What can be the value of it ? It is in relict condition, but still a rare item...

Thank you very much for the information. I wanted to know how much is this eagle worth, because I need to sell it (unfortunately). I am looking for the client in Poland or abroad. It comes from the begining of nazi era in Germany, so it is not only a nice looking object worth some money, but it has enormous historical value . Greetings from Poland ! Marcin

I must disagree - condition is always the major aspect to determine the value. This eagle is ruined. I really would like to see one single person who will pay 300 - 400$ for such piece. This pattern are not really rare. Yes, it is relic from old time, but value is always what one is willing to pay and just ask yourself : Do you want to display such ugly piece?

I know all those diggers who discover even Knight Crosses in terrible condition and thing they will get e.g. 2 - 3k €/$ ...but as always it is from realm of dreams. Nothing more.

I ALSO agree with LUKO ...not worth much at all ...i myself wouldn"t give $40 for it ...like having a beat-up SA dagger with blade broken in half ...but at least one could possibly use parts of dagger to create a FRANKENSTEIN /parts dagger .. EC..

Just my two cents:
If I were offered this eagle, I would pay $100 USD easily.
I’m artistic, so I would look up similar period eagles and draw the missing wing in pen and ink, and encase/mount the set in a Riker Mount -maybe along with an early armband or small pennant for a splash of color. Could make a really cool display with some creativity.
It all comes down to the buyer to be honest.

Maybe this is for some people ugly, but for others this is a beatiful piece of history and as far as value is concerned- for 40$ you can buy a nazi eagle, even in nice condition, but this would be a modern reproduction. This one is completely original and I haven't seen to many eagles of these pattern for sale. I also suggest some members to have more "tact".

It's early political eagle - mass produced at that time. Not rare at all. I have had maybe 5 of them over the years, but sold all, because i am keeping only bigger eagles. If you think it's rare nice and what ever i will not argue - to each his own. I just like better eagles as this one for example.

I am not a III Reich militaria collector. I bought this eagle some time ago and when doing some research, I found some articles and a few posted for sale by dealers (in archives). They described this pattern of eagles as scarce. Of course this was mass produced at that time, as almost everything. The question is - how many survived ? As far as condition is concerned - I don't say it is mint or worth a ton of money, but as almost all nazi related items- it is worth something and definitely more than a reproduction. Once I saw a very rare G41(M) rifle, but in terrbile condition, almost only a barrel and receiver (dug up and cleaned). It was sold for almost 1000 euro... A lot of nazi memorabilia was destroyed just after the war, because germans commited such terrible crimes, that nobody wanted to keep these items. I know Sir you might have had a lot of these in your collector's career, but it doesn't meen they are not rare nowedays. I haven't seen to many of these for sale or even published photos (I do regulary observe websites with militaria, because I am a firearms collector) and I can trust some articles and dealers- especially if they have experience and a lot of other stuff for sale . I'm just a photo/paper/book collector so I'm not an expert of any kind on this type of collectible, but an item like this would be wonderful if it has a story behind it (Provenance) and it would increase it's value. If it could only talk Personally I like old items that have wear and tear. I could never collect anything that was pristine. I've bought many books from the 17th and 18th Century with covers missing, stains and notations.
