    Reichsfuhrerschule Staff Collar tabs

I'd like opinions of these tabs regarding authenticity. Thanks! John

    Tabs

As an SA collector myself, I know I wouldn't buy them.......
I don't like the printing on the RZM tag, and I do not get a warm, fuzzy feeling on the tabs as well.
I could be wrong, but WAY too much money to risk!

      Hi,

I honestly don't know anything about these tabs, but the RZM tag is very very suspicious if not plain bogus...

I agree--the red embroidery appears well done, but the white is sloppy with uneven edges. The black arrow is distorted also. I would pass on these.

                  Tabs

                  Search under "Google images".
Remember to pay as much attention to the "backing material"...or "buckrum" on the back-side. SA tabs are fairly easy to fake, so the buckrum often tells the tale.
ALSO - be suspicious of SA collar tabs that are perfectly flat like these.......
Over the years, dampness and especially if they ever got wet or laundered causes the buckrum to wrinkle. This is because the stiffening agent they painted on the buckrum is water soluble. Now....of COURSE there many examples of original tabs that are perfectly-flat like this, but many of those are unissued.
IMO, any Nazi-era items that have seen wear and abuse are far more preferable to mint-condition items.
