In my opinion, the RZM gives it away as an obvious fake.

I think bmsmear is correct. The RZM was an NSDAP system for attaining and maintaining production standards involving Party materials, and while this system involved a great number of products, "sympathy" or supporter's jewelry such as this piece were not part of that system.
