Would anyone know if this donation can is pre 45? Any help would be appreciated.

The can is likely pre 45, but may have been repainted and some can still be found in use today IMHO.

I agree with Ron. He shows us a donation can from Reichsgau Niederdonau in Austria. Does your can have any wording in raised letters around the lower part of it's body? Many donation cans were made for the various Gaue in Germany and annexed territories such as Niederdonau, but some examples were made for the WHW and related charitable organizations and did not have a Gau title embossed onto the can's body. But they, too, were produced during the TR era.
