Early Prisoner Jacket and trouser KZ Dachau ??

    Hi Guy's

A collector offered me this very early jacket and trousers form KZ Dachau.
This one is from the early time of Dachau so 1933 (and a few years later) but before the striped type came out.
It also has a number on it.

It comes out of a very serious collection.

    I would appreciate your comments

It looks like old fatigue or work uniforms were used in the early camp, and they appear to have been unmarked with the 'prisoner number' that the uniform in question features. If no number was present on this one, it would simply be thought of as an old military work uniform with no particular connection to a camp or any other place. So, only the painted numbers attempt to connect it to Dachau, while the period photographs show no painted numbers?
Concentration camp pieces have been heavily faked for many years.
If it was offered to me I would definitely pass on it unless there was some sort of rock solid provenance connecting it to Dachau. Frankly, I can't imagine what sort of provenance that could be.

well those look to be 5 button and yours is 4 [?]..

There are more photos of the early Dachau days / inmates.. Doesn't sound like its going to be cheap especially if he firmly believes its good. You really need to do a lot more research.... The jacket itself,,the numbering system, and that star..
Good luck, please let us know any findings..

            Thanks so far.
It is indeed hard to find 100% evidence that it is a KZ Camp jacket and trousers.
I will try to find out more info.
