I don't know whether or not it's original, but the design is that used by Government Organizations and the Diplomatic Corps at least. I'm not sure whether or not their insignia fell under the authority of the RZM.

Isn't it RMBO (Reichsministerium für besetzte Ostgebiete)🤔

Is it my eyes or the pics but this one looks gold? Is so it would be a first for me.

Not sure if they are original or not but I've seen a number of "RZM" marked specimens of this bird (that looked silver to me) on reputable dealer sites and the prices they were asking sure didnt look like they beleived they were repros!

            Nice bird

If it is gold it is for a RMBO (Eastern Occupied Territories Government Officials) cap. If it's silver it might be for enlisted man cap on the Diplomatic Corps.

look at these caps. The first is from a RMBO and the second is for a Diplomatic Corps Enlisted man

Thanks so far!! There isn't any difference in the design itself between dipl. And RMBO, is there?🤔

I agree. That eagle belonged to a RMBO cap in my opinion

the caps are not part of my collection .... what more would I want

No, I don't believe there was any difference in the design of the cap eagle between the RMBO, the Diplomatic Corps and the Foreign Office, other than the color of the bird and the cockade. Of course there are usually slight differences between stamped metal pieces like this one and the elegant ornamentation created from wire embroidery.

But one thing does catch my attention: It appears that there is only the RZM logo stamped to the reverse of your eagle. This logo should be paired with the license code of the manufacturer...though that code may be found at a different point on the reverse. I can't make out an M/ license code on the reverse of this piece, but perhaps others here can.
