    What type bullion eagle? Diplomatic??

    Hello All,

I would appreciate help with identifying this bullion eagle. Also, opinions on originality. Looks very detailed and well made to me, but I know fakes exist.

Just add that your eagle is for a cap intended for a German Government Officer .... could be a Diplomat (Foreign Office) or any other Government Administration (Interior, Economy, Transport, Labor, etc.).

Although it has a very convincing shape and the embroideries are of quality, I repeat that the claws and the swastika I do not like. There are very convincing fakes although I have seen very few that reach the quality of your badge .... I do not mean that your badge is a fake but I just did not like the details I have told you before.

              Regards

              Mariscal Rommel

Government Officer, possibly Foreign Office, but not necessarily. Got it. Thank you.

Would black-light reveal anything, as to originality?

If the unterlagen (template) under the embroidery lit up like a christmas tree then I would be rather uncomfortable with the bird. Also, if there is no unterlagen as a template for embroidery I would be uncomfortable with the bird.

Thanks, Rick. Will try to determine if present.
