SS or NSDAP "Naming" or Christening Gown?

Ok, so here is a first for me. From the estate of a central Mass. veteran, a swastika decorated childs gown believed to be used for christening or naming ceremony. The gown is a small size, white linen with open front and green tie ribbons, designed to be wrapped over the shoulders and around the child, the borders are decorated with lace and a pattern of green circles centering white swastikas. Has staining to the white linen, some wear to the tie ribbons.
Absolutely the first time I have seen one of these in over 45 years of collecting.

Any ideas???

The fact that half the swastikas are backwards makes me think this has nothing to do with Germany or Nazism.

Very interesting item. I can't add any other information about it and darekm might be right about it being american indian but I hope others might chime in with their opinion. I've seen american indian items before but never something like this. For my own curiousity I hope others with knowledge about American indian items add what they might know. Cool looking item no matter where it came from. I replied here hoping this will bring the topic up to the top and others would respond.

Very interesting. It is possible to argue that is does have nothing to do with 3rd Reich since the Swastika is inverted. What is interesting is the the Swas is mobile which is a 3rd Reich design. Interesting to say the least. Hope more information comes to light for you. good luck.

One detail which is in its favour is the green colour which looks very "Bayerisch" or Austrian.
