    NSKK leather helmet 1st model

Gentelmen, may I ask, what you think of this helmet.
I like it, the only thing are the little holes in the wreath of the hk.
And what would be a fair price for this helmet?

    Thank you for your opinions.

The leather helmet itself could be ok, but the eagle is not the original one belonging to this helmet. It has been replaced later (the impressions of the original eagle are still visible on the leather of the helmet) and looks like ground dug (or even a faked one?). The lower prongs on the backside of the eagle most likely are broken off, thus one tried to fix it with the thread through 2 holes below the swastika. Too bad that by doing this the eagle has been damaged.

I would not put this one into my collection, however if one likes it I would recommend not to pay more than $250 - $300 for this helmet. However, value of an item is always subjective ... one collector pays more, the other collector less.

          Hi
Could you post pics of the inside of the helmet, so I can see how the eagle is attached, are the prongs visible?
          Thanks

No, they were not visible, and I didn´t take it.

            Thank you for your help!

                Hi
How is the eagle fixed to the helmet? Glue?
                Regards
                Frank
