Huge Adolf Hitler bronze bust (15" x 12")

Hello, today I'd like to show this huge Adolf Hitler bronze bust which found its way to my home yesterday.
I got it directly from the person who found it.


A few numbers:

Height neck to top of the head: 15" = 38.5 cm
Width nose tip to the right side of the head: 12" = 31 cm
Weight: 23.1 lbs = 10.5 kg
Artist: Löwenhauser, Munich
Foundry: V.H. Mayr, Munich

Circumstances of discovery: the bust was found about 5 years ago in the south of Bavaria during dredging work at a highway construction site in the slope area. It was a surface finding.
The finder did not see the bust before dredging and unfortunately damaged it a little with his shovel.
When he then noticed the head from his driver's stand, his first thought was: a part of a corpse!

Inside the plate on the bottom side of the bust, one of the two stud bolts with which the head was screwed to a granite base, is still in place.

To show the imposing size of the bust, on the last picture I put a size 64 steel helmet to the busts head.

The bust shows an interesting Patina which it had developed during almost 70 years outdoors.

Wow - what a massive AH bust. My Pagels AH bust was also found in soil in Berlin in the early 1990's. It had similar patina to your example. Mine's life size, but yours is at least double.

I've been searching for information regarding the artist "Löwenhauser" for the last couple of days. Today I probably found him!

There was a sculptor student named "Otto Löwenhauser" who matriculated at the "Akademy of plastic arts Munich" in 1906 (see the picture).
Name, age and occupation makes him prospect IMO for the one who designed this bust.

This is the only Hitler bust with the name "Löwenhauser" I was able to find on the Internet. Perhaps someone knows another one?
