    Ex Libris Adolf Hitler Book Plate

    Greetings!

    Does anyone know anything about this Ex Libris Adolf Hitler book plate? Specifically, is it original? Has some sort of glue on the back that when wet becomes sticky.

    Don't know how big is the chance to find something like this. I believe Hitler's books are in an American archive. I have a book about his library but can't find it at the moment...

      example of hitler's book plate,very difficult to tell if authentic.the color looks very white,i'm used to seeing an off white cream or almost tan color.also having still sticky adhesive on the back would also make me doubt it,after all this time I would think any adhesive would have been dried up...........dave

        Greetings Dave!

        Thanks for the assessment. In person, the plate is a kind of tan/brownish color. The back is not sticky to the touch. Only after you wet it does it become slightly sticky. Otherwise it is dry to the touch.
