Hitler Youth Cross

This was found in the drawer of a WWII Veteran. I have no clue what it is, other than a cross. Any information provided would be greatly appreciated.

I don,t think this is a recognized piece, maybe put together by a kid at the
time. Or at the worst case complete fantasy.

Forgot I posted this. Thank you for your time and comments gentleman... much appreciated. It's definitely not TR issued, but I was thinking more like a field, or maybe, trench art made piece? Is the HJ emblem itself recognized as TR original? Everything is non magnetic. Not that it's going to make a difference, but here are a few more pictures.

The length of the cross is three inches, and the width 2 3/4 inches.

I agree with your assessment. Could be a hand made period piece.
