    Hi. I purchased this desk eagle. In my opinion original but missing the leg-pin on the back. I did se exact same a while ago selling on this forum. What do you think? Original or not? thanks for all your info

                      any maker marks, #s on back ??? these have been heavily reproduced ...they were not very intricate in original casting ,so ... EC

                        No not that I see... Maybe there were marks on the pin I dont know... What about aging? I believe patina and wear like that cant be manmade can it? To take of nickle on some places and leave it on in others?

                          For me it's a reproduction. The eagle is missing all of the finer detailing that is seen on an original.

                            Whether water find, desert find, moon find, etc., I think this is not a good piece.
