any ideas on these armbands

These "armbands" came in a large grouping I picked up recently. The grouping contained original as well as reproduction pieces and these were in the mix.

They are not the typical cotton material but instead thy are made of an oil cloth or wax cotton.

I have never seen anything like this in my years of collecting and I feel these are 1960's or 1970's reproductions as many of the books from this collector were from that time frame.

Any theories, speculations?

I remember these armbands from that '60s - '70s time period. Definitely repros.
