    SA Standarte 28 collar tab

This collar tab has been presented in a German forum and the presenter was asking for the color / group affiliation and location of the SA Standarte 28.

I would say it's orange-yellow, but can't find information regarding a SA Standarte 28 in Südwest or Mitte

Can anyone help here at WAF? Thanks in advance

Standarte 28 did not exist in either Südwest or Mitte. IMO, this tab is a fake. Very poor chain stitching, the non-existent Standarte (for this gruppe), and the way the material is sewn together on the backside is worrisome.

        Thanks for the replies

I have a list of 1935 of all known SA Standarten. There 2 SA Standarten with the number 28 do exist. One was located in Hof and belonged to the SA group "Bayerische Ostmark". The other was located in Koblenz and belonged to the SA group "Westmark".

But then the group color of the tab (orange-yellow) does not fit. The color of Bayerische Ostmark was light blue and of Westmark dark brown.

Maybe there was a third SA Standarte with the number 28 either in the SA group "Südwest" or "Mitte"

There was one other Standarte 28 located in Jülich, Neiderrhein. Once again, not Südwest or Mitte. Take what you want on the the tab itself but the numbers are bad. Its a practice of people not knowing the Standartes and trying to add to a blank tab to increase value.

I too have a list though its undated but I know its 100% the real deal because I pulled it from a captured documents file at the NARA.

          Best,

            Tab

IMO, the chain-stitching is ok, but obviously, someone hand-stitched the Sturm number - could have been done if the unit number was changed - sure looks horrible.
From the front, the tab, with the exception of that number, looks ok. The reverse sure is strange, though.......I've never seen buckrum like this, and the sewing manner is strange as well. I'm not POSITIVE the tab is fake, though.
PS: On my computer, it looks like sulfur-yellow.

I agree completely with the way the backing is sewn together. Even if the tab does check out as real, I think the chain-stitching is bad all the way around because this Standarte did not exist for this Gruppe!
