HJ youth fire defense diamond

I found this HJ youth fire defense triangle over the weekend and REALLY like it a lot. I got a good price on it should it turn out to be authentic ($90).
Can anyone tell by looking at the attached pictures wether they think it's real or fake? I ordered a black light and am expecting it to hopefully get to me tomorrow. I'm really hoping it passes the test... should it pass would that make it likely real or is passing that test just a good sign?
Any help you may have would be very much appreciated. Thanks

I should have asked in my post if anyone has an idea on it's worth? I paid $90 and think it was likely a good price as I haven't really seen many of these before.

Many years ago, I read somewhere that your insignia is quite scarce and frequently reproduced. Considering this one appears to be authentic, the price you paid is a bargain IMHO.

Very nice badge for HJ-members (named HJ-Feuerwehrscharen) with the crimson edge.

Here is a badge with a white edge for the leaders of the HJ-Feuerwehrschar unit, as well as for the advisors (Sachberater)........

I really like the one with white edges as well. I'm new at collecting and this item really stands out in my collection. I'm very happy I was able to find it.

Note the flat top of the eagles head on the example Ron has posted that is a correct period example. Then look at the patch in the first post of this thread. See this link for a photo of a reproduction and a period example side by side. Then decide for yourself.

I agree with a definite difference in the eagles head however the badge Ron shared is the white border badge and the one I shared is the crimson edge badge. The link you shared is discussing the white border badge. Images I've come across while researching the crimson edge reflect rounded heads while the white one are flat.

Also see Fred Greens thread about the big plastic buckets of reproduction insignia sold at shows and compare the patch you show to the example he also purchased as a known reproduction.

This photo in this link causes concern. In the HJ research link I'm unable to get the pictures and can't seem to be able to create an account. I have found examples listed as authentic that appear to match mine but am unsure wether they are valid... I've done the black light test and there was no glow at all is that not really a reliable test? Thanks for your reply. Though unfortunate that it could be a fake ignorance isn't bliss imo...
