    Photos of my SA badge

Here is the badge I spoke about last night. I would appreciate anyone's opinion on it. Not trying to hijack this thread. But I feel like this is in the same vein as the conversation. Bonner SA sports badge with diagonal numbering but with five digit number instead of four. I have read that only Lauer made first issue gold badges but I agree with Br James, there has to be room for more shades etc. with the gold version when there's so many with the silver and bronze especially. What do you guys think about this one?

Thanks for posting the photos! For me it's a worn bronze example.

I agree with our Moderator, Erich B.: IMO this is a 1st Issue SA Sport Badge, Bronze Grade. But I continue to look forward to someone producing period SA regs that will conform the numbering system on at least the three grades of the 1st Issue Sport Badge.

            Cheers,

            Br. James

Thanks guys. I don't know a lot about these. I've just not seen any bronze ones with diagonal numbering. Maybe they're common, I've just never seen another one. Only the six digit horizontally numbered ones. Are these commonly seen with this numbering pattern? I accept that it's bronze, I have always thought that anyway, just wondering if they are seen all the time marked in this way. Thanks again guys.
