SA Patch....Legit?

This was found in an antique store for 55.00.

I know nothing about these, and would love to have opinions, before I consider buying it.

According to page 103 of Uniforms & Traditions of the Luftwaffe, Vol 1 (Angolia & Schlicht), it is an SA/SS Tradition Insignia introduced by the DLV in Sep 1934 for wear by former members of the SA or SS by special permission.

Yours appears to look like the small black & white photo example in the book. At $55, I think you got a great deal if authentic (there are many repros of this around).
