I agree with our colleagues here: an original large Deschler GPB with a stickpin attachment. Normally we see stickpins affixed to small GPBs, for the very reason that Stephen cited -- as well as those with lapel studs -- but a large badge with stickpin is quite unusual.
I'm sorry to say that NSDAP Membership Number 59225 is not ID'd on my list at this time.
Good luck,
Br. James

It is interesting that the numbers on the first example of these twins are roto-engraved, whereas the second's numbers are from standard impress method. Would appear the second of the twins was born first?

An astute observation, Joe! I would speculate that the 'second' badge shown here -- note #7 -- was part of the recipient's original matched set, while the 'first' badge converted to a stickpin -- note #1 -- was ordered by the recipient later. We do have to wonder why the recipient chose to have a stickpin added to a large badge instead of a small one...?
And thanks to Andreas for his response, too.

Here is another large GPB with a jeweler mounted straight pin. From the looks of the badge, the original brooch pin was lost and the owner requested a straight pin for wear. Notice the number is impressed, there are no apparent striations of grinding. Perhaps the straight pin had pin catch like seen on the ZA badges.Attached Files
