Hello, Both these pieces are on Craig Gottliebs auctions and I like the statue, but has any one else seen any of these pieces anywhere else. And can I get some other opinions. I have bought several pieces FOR MY COLLECTION from Craig and I lie them all. I have never asked for other opinions, I felt like I did not need to "until Now" but this is where I am at in my collection.
If you need to, PM me and tell me what you think. I am trying to keep this as professional as I can and not let this question get personal.
BUT IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME ON THESE 2 pieces, I would appreciate it. On the EAGLE I do not have a clue. I have 7 variations of large eagles and never seen anything like this.

I guess I should add I am thinking serious about adding the statue to MY personal collection.

I can only give you my "gut feeling" on the statue...i personally find it damn ugly and wouldnt touch it(face and hair look awful)....and when i see those pores in the material and the green velvet underneath the base (mostly to cover up modern screws or nuts) all alarm bells ring.

Don't like it at all. IMO a bad fake or better fantasy eagle because I do not think there were originals made like that.

The first eagle is a post war casting and should be avoided. The Hitler is on a replacement base with replacement felt which is fine, but something is not right there and I would avoid that as well; its not a 34-36 casting as it says I do not think and just does not cut it. The 3rd eagle is a white metal piece off a wall mount or trophy and is perfectly fine but already over value. The iron pieces are coming up more and more and I have never been a fan of them, this one I like less and with more of them showing up more recently?.

Not a fan of the seller/ auctioneer.... but the answer would be the same if it were someone else on these as well.

The iron eagle IMO is an original example-there have been some examples posted here (I think) in the past, and I've seen them (also reproduction versions which don't compare to the originals regarding quality) occasionally in the past. The other 2 eagles and the statue I have never seen before.

Hi,

The only one which I would feel comfortable is the J. Kaiser & Co wall eagle. The details are less crisp that what I have but it could be due to repeated casting and the details get worn off. Not sure about the actual production methods, but likely sand casting or even lost wax casting.
