Only in the case of the Great Cross, First Class Order, 3Rd Neck Order and 5th Class Order of 1943 appears the word "KLASSE". The fourth class would still use a case where it was called a second class, even if it was actually the fourth category of the Order of the German Eagle

It's also possible you still haven't figured this out. Last time I tried to elaborate on the topic LDO-numbers v. PK-numbers you said it wasn't of any importance.

You're correct that all crosses were marked with "900" only from the introduction of the Godet produced pieces (for the sake of argument let's agree to 1939, so this discussion doesn't get too complicated) until the introduction of the L-numbers, which occurred in March 1941 in conjunction with the actual LDO being established, not mid 1942. We don't know when the PK-numbers (in this case "21") first appeared on the DAO's, but other decorations (i.g. the KC) are nowdays believed to have been introduced in the latter part of 1942.

I don't dismiss the thought of cases marked "Stufe" were used in a limited way before the correct was produced, but in this case the combination is perfectly plausible.

I also know you find it very irritating me questioning your statements of "100% certainty", but I'll continue on this path until you show at least some degree of humbleness. The topic of the DAO is far from written in stone!

The important thing in this thread was to certify that the decoration in question was or not original and is more than proven that the badge and case are original.
