Two Large Enamel NSFK Badges - original??

A fellow collector mailed these 2 badges to me.
I like the Reichswettkampfe 1939 badge but the poor condition on the reverse of both of them is a red flag to me.
Is anyone familiar with these two? Are they repros or original?

      Hi!

I'm absolutely not an expert but I don't like the Coffin shaped plates in the back of both of them, wait for other opinions, maybe I'm wrong.

      Hope it helps

      Best regards

      Nacho

These never saw the light of day in Hitler's time. They began to appear in the 80s, maybe even the 70s, neat looking though--

Out of curiousity, I did not think that these were considered the coffin shaped pin plates people usually refer to. While I agree that these are not original badges the pin plates I"ve seen referred to as coffin shaped are different than what's shown here. Am I correct in thinking that? Attached is a picture of what I thought a coffin pin plate was.
          thanks

              Hello,
Jimmy, thanks for showing that back plate, I believe the one I show is also used only on bogus badges ? Thanks again

Agreed Bill , the one you show looks like a variation of a coffin plate commonly used on junk badges . Thanks for posting that example . Cheers !

                  Jimmy,
thanks for your reply. Not being a badge collector per se I wanted to make sure both pin plates were considered not of the time period
                  thanks

Sounds good , Bill . One thing you have to consider when looking at attachments on badges is " Don't judge by the attachment ". Meaning that sometimes we see a known bad attachment , coffin for example , used as a replacement pin on a good period badge . So while the attachment is crap you could overlook a rare or interesting period badge . Jo covers this in his Party Badge book as a caution and it makes a hell of a lot of sense.

Flock used to sell lots of these NSKK badges back in the 1980s-90s at the big shows in Germany he had about 3-4 different ones

I also was wary about the attachments. I didn't like all the corrosion on the reverse and virtually none on the front. I mailed em back after a few days.

Excellent comments! WAF should have a pinned link to known NSFK fantasy badges.
