    Political Cap Eagle

Gentlemen. I wonder if anyone might be able to specifically identify this eagle which has a wingspan of 67 mm.

Nice 100% original M1/72 NSDAP cap eagle!
Found on most standard Form IV visor caps, M1/72 being Fritz Zimmermann, Stuttgart

Actually, the more I look at it the condition is superb! There's a nice mint political leaders wreath for the visor cap for sale on the estand now which would match this eagle nicely

                  Dear Gents

I saw this thread and I wonder if this eagle from my collection(in not a good shape)with 50mm wingspam it would be another NSDAP visor eagle or a KM early pattern eagle 1934 for visors caps

                    Hi Lanner,

I really like these! As others have said its a beautiful specimen of the gold M39 (model 1939) political/SA cap eagle in aluminum made by Zimmermann which also exists in silver for the SA. I attached is a set of Zimmermann and a set of Dinzel like the great specimen posted by Ron. I suspect most manufacturers that made these produced both types (gold/silver)Worn between 1939 & 1945I have seen these in 3 metals: tombac, aluminum and zink

                    Best

                      Allo Velasco,

What you have there is a first pattern (introduced in 1934 I think) Wehrmacht eagle as worn by the Heere (silver) and Kriegmarine (gold). Hard to say for sure what colour your eagle is but it looks like a nickel based specimen

                      Regards

                      JC
