Look at the expression on Viktor Lutze's face! Such visible contempt for his one-time inferior, Heinrich Himmler!! The camera always tells the truth, if even for the fleeting moment!!

Maybe he's watching that H.H. has a mucus hanging and makes him some anguish...

The last photo I get from Max Amann wearing this model of Reichsleiter visor cap.
Any other closer in good resolution?

These two photos were taken at different events...any idea what was being celebrated in each photo?

I also notice that the PLs and Lutze are wearing brown boots in the photo in note #1, while everyone is wearing black boots in the photo in note #5. Both photos are post-1939 PL Uniform Code Revision...?

Both pictures probably are from the same event, the Adolf Wagner funeral in 27/04/1944 but If I compare the pictures Amann is wearing another award in the 1st picture. The color of the boots can be differently interpretable because of the shadows, quality etc...

After 1939 the collar and armbands were changed in the PL code. Here they wear the post-1939 Collar and Armband from Reichsleiter.
Apart of it, H.H. wears a grey uniform. From 1939 ( I should confirm it ) the SS forbide the black uniforms.

Anybody with pictures from Amann closer with this Type of visor cap?

Thanks, H. Guderian, though the two photos are of different events IMO, and partially for the reason you stated: the badges/awards worn by Max Amann are different and are arranged differently on his uniform tunic in each photo. It also appears that the lines of participants are already choreographed by the time each photo was taken, but the two photos indicate that different people are in the line being photographed during each event. And I'm not sure that "shadows and quality" of the photos could be responsible for the boot colors in either photo, since Himmler's boots are certainly black in the photo in note #1, while everyone else's boots are definitely brown.

I have obviously gotten this thread off-topic and I apologize for that: the topic is "pictures of Max Amann wearing a Model 1939 NSDAP Reichsleiter Visor cap."

                Cheers all,

The first photo was taken at the funeral of Adolf Huhnlein in June 1942. The second photo was taken at Gauleiter Adolf Wagner's funeral in April 1944.

Thinking further about the question of boot color in these two photos, I reviewed all the color plates in the 1943 edition of the "Organisationsbuch der NSDAP" and found that, by that year, the regs for all of the uniformed organizations of the Party specified black boots. So, given that the photo in note #5 was taken in April of 1944, all those shown were wearing the standard uniform boots. And since the photo in note #1 was taken in June of 1942, prior to the issuance of the 1943 regs, it appears that everyone wearing brown boots at that event may have also been "in uniform," though I am not certain when the color of boots for the PL (Ley and Rust in this photo), the SA (Lutze) and the RAD (Hierl) changed from brown to black -- though by 1943, everyone was supposed to be wearing black boots.
