I have a chance to get a uniform and this kepi comes with it, what are your thoughts? I can see it was recovered and these are the best pictureselection I have for now.

Well, from what I can see here, the kepi looks brand new...which isn't a good sign. It does make me wonder what the rest of the uniform looks like...

The blue was added as we know they did and the color underneath is the same as the kepi.Comment

SA Tunic
1. Tunic should have lt. blue/white collar piping.
2. Members of an SA- Motor Standarte almost all have a Driver's Qualification diamond on left sleeve.
3. Collar tabs and shoulderboard look original.
4. Tie may be original.
5. Don't know about kepi - may be ok....but lt.blue top may be post-war added, in attempt to match tunic.
IMO, the tunic is likely a post-war put-together, unless someone at one time cannibalized the collar piping. But I'm definitely leaning toward a "put-together".Comment
