        2 NSDAP Buckles

        Hello Forum Members,
Every once and awhile you have to stick your head out and see which way the wind blows.
I have a NSDAP Silver Buckle marked RZM 4/24. I have seen these listed in several books and even had a NSDAP Judicial uniform that came with one, it had silver buttons on the tunic. It is pictured in the first 2 posts in this thread.
My question is "Are these acceptable in today's collecting world as authentic?

My second question is on the last 2 posts, the gold NSDAP buckle. I have many variants in my collection and have many through out the years, this one is not made of aluminium. It is made of something solid and weighs 3.12 ounces compaired to the average 1.3 ounces. has anyone ever seen one that was not aluminium?
        It is maker marked M4/77.
By the way the Silver one weighs 1.03 ounces. It is a smaller size too. My calipers battery is out, but the SILVER buckle is 2 inches in diameter, while the others are 2.25 inches in diameter.
Any opinions or can any one help me with this.
I think the silver version is good.
I also think the Solid one is good, but have never seen another.
        Any help would be appreciated.
        JacK

Have you asked about these on the buckles forum? It would be very interesting to hear what people have to say. The silver buckle is especially interesting.

I have had zinc versions of this same buckle, they are hard to come by. My feelings is yes they are both authentic, silver one is a tough one to find. The experts on buckles will tell you why, but I give them both a thumbs up. (good you followed your gut feelings, after all you sometimes have to take risks to score , this to me is one of those times, congratulations)
