A fantasy item. There was never a blue pink orange or brown.....only red.

If you are interested in enamel badges, Jo Rivett's books are the best start. Like 'The Party Badge" for instance.

I remember seeing those Hoffman marked badges late 1960's in a shop in Lincoln - every colour combination - blue/white, mustard yellow/white, dark green/white, black/white etc . You could buy them in mint or slightly "used" condition for the same price. I am surprised at Weitze !

I think I've got it!! For those members who are old enough to remember "Mood jewelry" from the 70's and 80's, I think this blue diamond, as well as other colors other than red, were part of the psychological experiment for the HJ. They were given said pins, unaware of the experiment, so the German scientists could register each member's mood and morale. Sounds good.
