    Tunic

I agree with Erich on all counts......piping looks ok, IMO and I'd stay away from both tab sets. Numbers on tabs should be white on apple green.

That apple green Weitze set is IMO not a true pair....The blank one is smaller...
but still an OK filler set for this stripped tunic! I would get it!
Maybe once attached it would be less apparent!

I am also looking at Weitze tabs for my SA jacket. Still missing the “schulterklappe”. I am interested which one you are going to use?

          Tabs

The apple-green "11/153" tabs at Weitze's may be original, but everything about them is weird. The early tabs were usually either hand or machine chain-stitched, and sometimes machine embroidered, but I've never seen tabs that were hand embroidered to look like machine embroidered. The white backing is similar to later Waffen-SS tabs, but I've never seen such backing on an SA tab. It's also highly unusual to see tabs with excess wool on the back, which would have been wasteful.
Also...are you sure that the tabs aren't from SA Gruppe "Pommern"? They also wore apple-green tabs.
Like I said, these tabs may be real, but IMO, they're questionable.

These sets of tabs were found some years ago, the guy who found them himself placed backings on these tabs as they were unfinished, this is the reason so many of these tabs have different backings and in such abundance now, the darker green tabs on Weitzes site are also from that same find, I believe Bob Coleman knows the full set of circumstances
