    Wall eagle for opinions

    Hi what about this wall eagle;

    Cast of aluminum or another medium weight metal with an aluminum finish, and the obverse is in near flawless condition. The back of the head and top rear edges of the wings show some corrosion, likely from being mounted outdoors. The wing span is 46.5 inches, body is 21 inches tall. Hanging on your wall, this eagle would stick out about 6 inches.

    Is it from Third Reich? I asked if there was ever a swastika cut from it but it appears no.

      I really don't know where this is from, but the style, esp. the legs and talons, look Italian to me. It has that slightly over the top and extra bold look that many Fascist designs from the 1930's have IMO. I would ask Oldflagswanted on the Flag Forum. Good luck.
