This one is currently for sale and has been stated as a NOT war example.
But can someone dates this one? Is it post war or pre war?

    Kind Regards,

    Michael

        Hi,

Nobody wants to burn his fingers om these tapestries. Those were the most debated items on Waf last year

I have one which has a rougher texture, and those examples were made post war too.I have paid a lot,too much better said.I have still hanging it above my chest because I like the design and it fitts to my display.

So nobody can answer your question 100% ......unfortunatly

          Too bad.
Yes your right about that. It's a nice display not only for your collection but just the design for your office or living room.!

          Thanks for replying.

          Kind regards, Michael

            Another tapestry

            Hello,

I'm curious what opinions might be of this latest tapestry being offered on the e-stand, which the seller claims to be of wartime manufacture.

            http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=843105

I've personally never handled an original, so am unable to ascertain either way.

            Regards

You may want to ask people who regularly deal in such items. Just google the subject, but to get a start here is one site that offers similar , as they are for different purposes and size seems to matter in pricing . Good luck...https://www.thetapestryhouse.com/tap...sbaum-tapestry

It says now that it is of unknown time period (which equals postwar period). Why would a common item like that cost 400 euros???? Has the forum not learned anything at all from all past discussions on these?

Was hoping there might be some new information on what verifies wartime production.

I believe that this has been posted before, but for the sake or reiteration; The Meldorfer Kunstweberei brochure from 1979, at which point these were still in production. A Lebensbaum motif tapestry is shown on page 6.

                    Hello janbus ,

from the moment i created the listing it had said that the item was of unknown time period. in my dictionary, janbus, unknown time period means just that - unknown time period and nothing else.
the item was listed for 400 USD , not euro. please google the difference. www.google.com

as fas as the item being common, i am sure you janbus can personally obtain a dozen of these on any given day or night . unfortunately, most of us are not so fortunate me included.

speaking of common items , If my memory serves me right i seem to recall you were promising to come up with some magazines illustrating my other common item. Got your mags yet, janbus?
