              Not if it is from WW1 time period. I believe the Austrian flying corp. used pretty much the exact image on their collar tabs or shoulder boards. I remember seeing a period photo of them some where on the net while doing a search .... not a sleeve insignia but close in the same design as the insignia that started this thread. If I can remember where the photo is I will post a link to it.

                Thank you very much for the information. There is so much age on this insignia, it could easily be WWI or immediately thereafter.

                I am assuming because it is bullion, it would have been an officer insignia.
