DJ Jungbann Patch - what is it?

I would sincerely appreciate any opinions as to the identity and authenticity of this larger patch with nice silver/aluminum bullion embroidery. It measures about 3 1/2" high. Any value ideas if real?

I believe it is a standard bearers sleeve insignia for Bann 32. If it an original I do not know as these are out of my collecting area.

This patch was worn by the bearer of the Bannfahne. Different than the standardbearers patch which was worn by the bearer of the Gefolgshcftsfahne. Each Bann had many Gefolgschaft but only one Bannfahne or Jungbannfahne.

Close-up from a well-known photo from Ernst Szabo, Austria (and as such shown in my gorget-book)!

Yes, that is right. Szabo photos are well spread (all over the world) and practically always a reproduction. Mr. Szabo owns lots of old glass-plates!

Still wondering if my patch is original. It came with other original items.
