These fakes have been around for many many years. I see them listed on dealer sites all the time as authentic items. For me, only the type shown by RonR and Pascal are genuine items.

You can tell by the way the HJ Diamond comes to a flat point on the original ones as the fake ones come to a sharp point, also you can compare them side by side the originals are much bigger over all.

These elongated reproductions have fooled many people, myself included at one time. Search the forum and there is a thread that shows an example from a period publication, diamond is flat on the top not "pointy". They are offered a lot of places currently and listed as ''original" items. Deliberate deception by sellers, or just ignorance? Who can say. Maybe some sellers just don't to the research. There is an in depth study of these on the H.J. Research Forum as well.
