NSDAP 25 Year Long Service Medal For Opinions

Just wondering if this was original. Any help would be much appreciated. The ring is not marked. It weighs 39 grams. Thanks, Mark.

It's obviously quite different from the 25 year edition in that it is a concave, one sided cross to be pinned to the breast. An then again, the obverse is not that different at all. Why should the 10, 15 and 25 NSDAP LS crosses be the same in design, but different in finish/color (enamel), and the 30 year just the same while/gold combination as the 25 year edition ?

Maybe it was just an advanced design to replace the original 25 year cross.

I like the look of the Weitze prototype. Its not the typical Souval fake design, so that already is a plus IMO. Also, the look of the reverse hardware is very believable to me and finish looks appropriate IMO. With that said, I would never buy it without provenance and knowing it will be a pretty penny.

The cross posted is a Souval one with the typical die flaw to the wing- some of these are wartime and this stands a chance IMO. They made the 15 year cross also and these are not in any dispute that I am aware of. Certainly not garbage put a known maker of NSDAP long service medals- the definite postwar souval examples have a completely different eagle design. There have been a couple of very good threads about this subject in the past
